Available in version 1.8.


Unregistered serial numbers are serial numbers that have been returned to store but have never previously been recorded on Opex. This may be because they were purchased and issued to officers before Opex was implemented. 


To return an unregistered serial number to stock go to Stock > Serial Numbers.


Click on the stock item that you want to return.


From the lower grid click Return Unregistered and the following screen will be displayed.




Enter the following information:


- Size 


- Warehouse


- Serial Number - if the serial number that you have entered already exists for that size the following message will be displayed:



It is not possible to have the same serial number for the same item and size.



If the serial number that you have entered already exists for the item but for a different size, the following message will be displayed:

 




If you want to proceed and add the serial number click OK and select Yes to Allow Duplicate.


- Allow Duplicate - this field will only be displayed if you have added a serial number that already exists for the same item but a different size. Click the drop down and select Yes to allow duplicates.


- Expiry date - if applicable


- Actual value - only enter a value in this field if you use Actual value. If you use FIFO or Last cost do not enter a value in this field.


- Supplier - if applicable


- Staff Code - if you know which officer returned the serial number enter their staff code


- Notes - enter a brief explanation as to why the serial number is being added. This is a compulsary field.


- Item Condition Code - if applicable



Click OK to add the serial number. The stock level for the item/size will increase by 1.
