Protocol > Download:

The Receiving Directory is the folder that will hold the barcode.txt file that is sent from the handheld.

The downloaded files can be actioned in 3 different ways:

1. Append

Download a file to OPEX Barcode for item A. The file created is called barcode.txt.

Download a file to OPEX Barcode for item B BEFORE submitting the file for item A.

The file for item B is added to the barcode.txt file so it has 2 lines in it, one for item A and one for item B.

Click Submit in OPEX Barcode and the requisition created is for item A only.

2. Overwrite

Download a file to OPEX Barcode for item A. The file created is called barcode.txt.

Download a file to OPEX Barcode for item B BEFORE submitting the file for item A.

The file for item B replaces the contents in the barcode.txt file.

OPEX Barcode still shows item A on the screen.

When you click Submit in OPEX Barcode the requisition created is for item B only.

3. Unique

Download a file to OPEX Barcode for item A. The file created is called barcode.txt.

Download a file to OPEX Barcode for item B BEFORE submitting the file for item A.

The file for item B is created and it is called Barcode.000. There are now 2 files in the Input folder....barcode.txt and Barcode.000.

OPEX Barcode still shows item A on the screen and says that one file is waiting to be processed.

When you click Submit in OPEX Barcode the requisition created is for item A only. The barcode.txt file is deleted from the Input folder.

Click the 'Files Waiting' box and item B is displayed. Click Submit and the requisition created is for Item B. The Barcode.000 file is deleted from the Input folder.

If you have the OPEX Barcode Configuration setting 'Barcode Process Queue Automatically' ticked you do not have to click the Files Waiting box.
