There may be occasions when a particular size is out of stock but there is an alternative size that can be tailored to fulfil a requisition.

Go to Requisitions and click on the line for the out of stock item.

From the bottom grid click on the Make Up button.

Click the size field. A list of all of the alternative sizes that have available stock will be listed.

Select the size that you want to tailor. Any additional tailoring remarks can be added and they will be printed on the picking list.

Click OK.

You will notice that another line has now been added to the requisition.

The original request was for size 36R, which now has a status of Tailoring Waiting.

The size that we are going to tailor is 36L and this has a status of Allocated.

If you use picking lists you can now pick the requisition. The picking list will show the size of the item that you are going to tailor as that is the size you are physically picking from the shelf.

Once the tailoring adjustments have been made to the size 36L go back to the requisition line and click on the Tailoring Waiting line then click the Tailoring Complete button.

This action will create 2 stock transactions:

- TRNF - reduce stock of size 36L by 1

- TRNT - increase stock of size 36R by 1

The requisition line status for the size 36L will now be Tailoring Complete.

You can now complete the requisition in the usual way.

There may also be the occasion when you have some of the required size in stock but not sufficient to fulfil the requisition;

Example - requisition raised for 3 size 42R trousers. There is 1 size 42R in stock and several 42L's.

Allocate and dispatch the 1 size 42R then select the Out of Stock line and click Make Up and select the size 42L's to tailor. Then complete the line as detailed above.
