Collection Notes are used to record and track the return request of items to store.


When items on a collection note are returned to store they need to be actioned. 


You do this from the Requisitions > Collections screen or from the main Requisitions screen in the requisition line grid under the Collection Note tab.


Click on a collection note line.


The action buttons that will appear will depend on whether the item is a Stock Item or a Text Item.


Stock item action types:


Stock - used to return the item back into stock. You can specify which warehouse the stock is returned to. Stock levels will be adjusted and the return will be shown on the Staff record.


Repair - used when the item is sent for repair. Stock levels will not be updated and there will be no record of the return on the staff record.


Dispose - used when the stock item is to be disposed. You can specify which warehouse the stock is disposed in. Stock levels will be adjusted and the return will be shown on the Staff record.


Cancel - used if the item on the collection is incorrect or will not be returned.



Text item action types:


Repair - used when the item is sent for repair. 


Dispose Text - used when the item is to be disposed. You can specify which warehouse the stock is disposed in.


Receive - used to confirm that the text item has been returned to store. 


Cancel - used if the item on the collection is incorrect or will not be returned.



Please note - only lines at a status of Issued can be actioned.


When all lines on the collection note have been actioned the collection note header status will change to Complete and no further changes are possible.
